Xzavier V.Simon

Xzavier V. Simon is the creator of The Modern Queer Magazine -- a publication dedicated to exploring the lives of LGBTQ+ BIPOC people from Flint, Michigan, and across the world, and its accompanying podcast, The Modern Queer Podcast. 

As a self-published author, teacher, journalist, creative entrepreneur, and spiritualist, Xzavier's hobbies and interests include African spirituality and cosmology, meditation, and the art of self-healing. He also enjoys video games, anime, cooking, Asian music, watching YouTube, and much more.

Xzavier's expansive coverage of Flint's music, business, creative, and cultural landscape can be found at Flintside.com. Other published works include writings for Buckham Gallery's 2024 Writer-In-Residence 40th anniversary publication.

Currently, Xzavier is pursuing his Master's in Higher Education Administration and Social Justice at Central Michigan University.
